  "When I woke up I was in a hospital, apparently when I was unconscious out he kicked my Mom out of the house, she went to the police and they came to arrest him, he killed a police officer managing to escape somehow, my mom and me were put into witness protection later that day as they couldn't find him, they still haven't found him, every now and again he finds us and we have to move and leave everything behind, probably one day soon he'll find me again, my mom started drinking again straight after we got into witness protection, she actually blames me for what he did, she says that I must have tempted him somehow" I said quietly, Sean growled again.

  "It turned out that he was actually someone the police already had their eye on but they didn't have enough evidence to put him away, they said that he was wanted in connection to two unsolved murders, that he was some big time drug and arms dealer" I said closing my eyes. "I've had nightmares about what him and his friends did to me every single night since I was 10 years old, every night I screamed myself awake, then I met you, when I told you that was the best night sleep I've ever had I meant it" I said stroking along his ear, after a few minutes of silence I needed to go lay down, my head was pounding.

  "Sean, I want to go lay down, will you come with me?" I asked quietly, he just stood up and trotted over to the stairs, I smiled at him before following him to his bedroom. In the bathroom I brushed my teeth and hair and pulled on one of Sean's t-shirts that he had left on the counter. Leaving the bathroom light on, I walked back into the bedroom and saw him sitting by the door staring at me, I sighed and got into the bed closing my eyes. After a few seconds I opened them again looking around the room, he was still sitting there in the same position. "Don't you want to lay with me?" I asked confused, he whimpered and made his way over to the bed laying on top of the covers next to me. I rolled over into him putting my arm around his furry body snuggling closer, "Night wolf boy"

  I said chuckling.

  Chapter 10: Two halves become a whole

  I woke up as two arms wrapped around me pulling me tightly to a muscular chest, "Sean?" I muttered sleepily, "Yeah, I'm sorry I woke you" he said kissing the top of my head. "So you shifted back then, I was afraid you were going to be stuck like that forever" I joked expecting him to laugh, he didn't. "Tyler you don't ever need to be afraid of him, I swear to you, he'll never hurt you again, I'll take care of it" he said in a voice so terrifying that scared the shit out of me, I shuddered. "I swear to protect you, if you want we can leave just the two of us, go somewhere, anywhere you want" he whispered in my ear.

  "Bond with me" he breathed sending shivers down my spine, "I told you I can't, Sean please don't make this any harder for me that it already is" I begged. "Tell me why" he said, I took a deep breath turning my face away so I wouldn't have to look at his face when I said it. "I want to, more than anything in the world I promise, but you deserve better than me Sean, someone who can give you everything, someone who isn't some broken girl that's afraid of the dark or wakes up screaming every night, someone that's not dirty and used, someone who you can love, who deserves to be loved by you, I'm not good enough for you Sean" I said swallowing a sob.

  He pulled my face round to look at him, "Don't ever think of yourself that way again! You hear me?

  I LOVE YOU, I will always love you, I'm never going to want anyone else even if you don't bond with me" he said simply looking at me intently. I could see all of his love for me in his eyes, his need, his want and I knew that every word he said was true, he would always love me as I would always love him.

  "Bond with me, please" he begged. I could see my future in his eyes, my happy life with him, never wanting anyone else, waking up with him every day forever, having his children, God I wanted it so bad it hurt! I grabbed his face in my hands and smashed his lips to mine, I felt the shock of pleasure shoot through my body. He traced his tongue along my lip and I opened my mouth, feeling his tongue slide into my mouth and massage mine.

  Chapter 11 The new marks

  When I woke in the morning Sean was still fast asleep, I watched him for a little while, he looked so peaceful, like an angel. His hair was sticking in all directions from our activities last night, dragging my eyes from his face raking them down his neck and chest to his perfect stomach and back up again, suddenly I noticed his mark and gasped reaching out a hand to touch it.

  It had changed colour! Instead of being a black heart and black chains with the maze like pattern around, his mark was now silver! A perfect iridescent silver, as I moved my head to get a better look it started to change colour slightly as the light on it changed giving it a slight blue hint it looked like it was glittering slightly. It was so beautiful! Looking down at my own mark I noticed that mine had changed in exactly the same way. Taking a deep breath I gently nudged Sean. He opened his eyes slowly and his face lit up, "Good morning, my beautiful fiancée" he said pulling me down to kiss him.

  I pecked him on the lips but pulled away quickly, "Sean, you never said it would change colour! Its so beautiful" I said touching his mark. "What would change colour baby? What are you talking about?" he asked confusion plain across his face. I tapped my fingertips on his mark, laughing

  "What do you think I'm talking about lover boy?" I asked, he looked even more confused. "Tyler I don't know what on earth your going on about, why don't you just tell me?" he said shaking his head chuckling. "The mark Sean" I said nodding to his chest and mine, he followed my eyes to my chest then jumped out of the bed so fast all I could see was a blur.

  "HOLY FUCKING SHIT!" he shouted looking down at his mark, it was clear by the look on his face that he didn't know that this would happen. He looked up at me shocked, eye's wide, mouth hanging open, he looked so funny that I started to laugh hysterically, my laughter snapped him out of it. He climbed back on the bed, "You think this is funny do you?" he said teasingly giving me a evil smile as he started to tickle me, making me squirm and wriggle.

  I pushed my hands on his chest trying to get him off but he gripped hands pushing them down to the bed pinning them there laughing. Suddenly he let go bringing my hand up to his face looking at it intently turning my wrist over and over staring, the shocked face was back. Confused I brought my other hand up to see what he was staring at and froze too. The mark that he said I would get on the inside of my wrist was much bigger than I thought it would be.

  It was like the chains that outline the heart of my main mark, instead of just being on the inside of my wrist like he said, they trailed all the way around like a bracelet. Turning it over I saw that the chains crossed over where my veins were and became intertwined wrapping around each other like a spiral and trailed all the way along my vein right down to the inside of my elbow. It was the same silver colour as the other one. Looking up at Sean I saw that he was now inspecting his own arms and that his were the same as mine. "They're beautiful" I said looking at him, his head snapped up to me and smiled still confused, "Yeah they are" he said laying down next to me inspecting my wrist trailing his fingers along it making me shiver with desire for him.

  Rolling closer to him I kissed him teasingly before climbing out of the bed, "I'm going to take a shower, want to come?" I called over my shoulder walking away to the bathroom quickly. I heard the bed springs creak and then he was there lifting me into his arms practically running to the bathroom.

  After a very long and frankly quite tiring shower I got dressed. As I was pulling on a pair of socks I noticed that I had the same silver chains around both of my ankles, the intertwined chains going down the top of each foot stretching down to my toes. I smiled knowing that Sean was gonna freak again when he saw these. Laughing to myself I left my socks off and padded downstairs where he was making us breakfast. I stood in the doorway watching him, he looked so flustered darting around the kitchen smoke starting to come from the grill while he was stirring scrambled eggs on the stove completely oblivious.

  I laughed and walked over to take the toast from the grill, "Thanks" he muttered looking a bit sheepish. "That's ok lover boy" I said buttering the toast, I waited until put the eggs on the plates before hitching up my jeans to my knees and asking "What do you think of my new ankle jewellery?" he looked down at my feet and dropped the empty pan he was holding, "FUCK ME!"

  he shouted. I walked over to him stepping over the pan, "Been there, done that" I said kissing him passionately on the lips, he responded immediately grabbing my waist and lifting me onto the kitchen counter.

  I wrapped my arms around his neck and he started to kiss down my neck trailing his hands down my sides slipping them under my top pulling it off over my head. He was right, the passion I felt for him was overwhelming and I just couldn't get enough of him. I moaned into his mouth twisting my hands into his hair. Someone cleared their throat loudly behind us, Sean pulled away from me slightly, smiling over his shoulder "Hey mom, dad" he said sheepishly, helping me put my top back on but still managing to shield me from his mom and dad's view.

  I groaned in embarrassment and hid my face into his neck wishing the ground would open and swallow me, "Don't mind us" Jack said laughing and carrying their overnight bags away. "You two have a good time last night, here all alone?" Kate said raising her eyebrows with a big smile on her face. "As a matter of fact yes we did" Sean said hugging me tightly, "And?" Kate cried impatient

  "Yes mom we've bonded" Sean said laughing, she burst into tears jumping up and down and clapping her hands.

  "I'm so pleased for you both, JACK! JACK" she screamed, he came running back into the room

  "WHAT? WHAT'S WRONG?" he said looking around the kitchen as if expecting a fire or something. "They've bonded! Isn't that great!" she cried pointing at us, a big smile lit his face and he grabbed us both into a big hug, "Congratulations!" he said kissing my cheek.

  "Um Dad a couple of things happened that I think we need to talk about" Sean said seriously. Jack immediately got his business face back on. "What is it son?" he asked, "Well when Tyler and I were talking last night I got really angry" Sean said taking a shaky breath I could see him clench his jaw as the anger started to seep in again, I took hold of his hand to calm him down. "You got angry?

  What about?" Kate asked, I stiffened, Sean rubbed the back of his neck and shook his head. "I can't talk about it mom its private, I'm sorry" he said sternly making me relax, "But what I trying to say is that the anger took over me, I managed to hold it back for a while but I couldn't keep it away, I lost control and I shifted" he said, Kate and Jack gasped in shock.

  "You mean you shifted when there was no danger to you? And no full moon?" Jack asked uncertain as if he thought this was some sort of trick. Sean nodded and said "Yeah and I'm pretty sure I can shift any time that I want, I could shift right now, I can feel it" he said rubbing circles in the back of my hand. "That's not possible S
ean, no one can just shift if there is no danger to themselves or their other half" Jack said rolling his eyes and shaking his head as if talking to a three year old.

  Sean looked at me kissing me on the forehead and smiled a re-assuring smile stepping away from me he pulled off his shorts and t-shirt off standing there in just his boxers. "Look after these for me would ya?" he said handing me his shorts, he winked at me then exploded leaving the big chocolate brown wolf in his place. Jack and Kate gasped and held hands, eyes wide, Sean shifted back standing there in all his naked glory making bite my lip lustfully before I threw his shorts and t-shirt at him.

  "That, that, impossible, can't, no-one" Jack was mumbling, Sean walked up and gripped his dad's shoulder. "Its ok, I was pretty freaked out when it first happened, but not as much as Tyler" he said sadly looking guilty that he had scared me. Kate rushed over and pulled me into a hug, "You poor baby! You must have been so frightened! Sean how could you?" she said slapping him lightly on the chest, I laughed. "It's ok, It was a shock but he actually makes a pretty wolf" I said with a smile making Sean laugh.

  "There's something else" Sean said looking at his dad again, "Our marks have changed colour and the new ones are bigger than they should be, and they're round our ankles too" Sean said holding out his forearm to his dad. Jack stiffened in shock and grabbed onto the counter for support. No one said anything, we all just stood there in silence waiting for them to take it in, after a couple of minutes I couldn't take it anymore. "Anyone want any eggs?" I asked picking up a plate and starting to eat, Sean laughed loudly and stole a piece of toast off of my plate.
